Data Collection
ChatGPT Theme Selector does not collect personal data. It does not include analytics, advertising, telemetry, tracking technologies, user accounts, remote logging, or a JMS-operated server.
Access To ChatGPT Pages
The extension runs only on https://chatgpt.com/ pages so it
can apply the selected theme to the existing ChatGPT interface. Its
GlyphDrift animation may temporarily examine visible response text and
its on-screen position to create decorative letter effects. The original
ChatGPT content remains in the page and stays controlled by ChatGPT.
The extension does not copy page content into extension storage, retain prompts or responses, send messages, access account credentials, or transmit page content to JMS or any third party.
Local Appearance Preferences
The extension uses the browser's local extension storage to remember whether the theme is enabled, the selected theme and palette, custom colors, named palettes, and the GlyphDrift motion preference. These preferences remain in the local browser profile and are not sent to JMS.
Permissions
The extension requests the storage permission only to save
the local appearance preferences described above. Its access to
https://chatgpt.com/ is used only to apply the selected
appearance and optional visual effects on that site.
Third-Party Services
ChatGPT Theme Selector does not contact external services, load remote code, or use third-party advertising or analytics providers. ChatGPT is a separate service operated by OpenAI and processes activity under its own terms and privacy practices. The extension does not alter how ChatGPT sends or receives that activity.
Data Retention And Deletion
Appearance preferences remain in browser extension storage until you change them, clear the extension's stored data, or uninstall the extension, subject to normal browser behavior. JMS has no remote copy or extension account to delete.
Children's Privacy
ChatGPT Theme Selector is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes To This Policy
JMS may update this policy if the extension's privacy practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
