Privacy Policy Access
Market Mosaic provides access to this privacy policy from within the app in Settings. This URL is also intended for the privacy policy field in App Store Connect.
Data Stored On Your Device
Market Mosaic stores app data locally on your device, including:
- portfolio names, holdings, tickers, share counts, and cost basis values;
- portfolio preferences, display settings, refresh state, and onboarding state;
- optional benchmark-tracking configuration that you choose to create;
- cached market quotes and derived performance values used to display the app efficiently;
- an optional Finnhub API key that you enter, stored using the iOS Keychain; and
- a small App Group widget snapshot so the widget can display portfolio summary information.
The widget snapshot is read-only and is intended for compact display. It is not used by Market Mosaic to track you across apps or websites.
Market Data Requests
Market Mosaic may contact third-party market data providers to retrieve quotes, symbol search results, company information, market status, index data, and historical baseline values. Depending on the feature you use, these requests may include ticker symbols, search terms, and your Finnhub API key if you have configured one.
Market Mosaic currently uses Finnhub as its primary live-data provider and Yahoo Finance as a best-effort fallback for certain market data. Those providers process requests according to their own terms and privacy practices.
Market data requests are used only to provide app functionality, such as displaying quotes, market status, index values, symbol search results, company information, and derived portfolio performance. Market Mosaic does not use those requests for advertising, tracking, analytics, or building user profiles.
Third-Party Sharing And Protection
Market Mosaic does not sell user data. Market Mosaic shares user data with third parties only when needed for app functionality, such as sending ticker symbols, search terms, and a configured Finnhub API key to market data providers. Market Mosaic does not authorize third-party providers to use data received from the app for tracking, advertising, resale, or unrelated profiling.
Any third party that receives user data from Market Mosaic must provide the same or equal protection for that data as described in this policy and as required by Apple's App Review Guidelines.
No Tracking, Ads, Or Analytics
Market Mosaic does not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs. Market Mosaic does not sell user data and does not track users across apps or websites.
No Account Required
Market Mosaic does not require an account. The developer does not operate a Market Mosaic user account service or server-side portfolio database.
Data Retention And Deletion
Data stored by Market Mosaic remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete portfolios, holdings, sample data, and saved API keys from within the app where those controls are available. You can also remove app data by deleting the app from your device, subject to normal iOS behavior for local storage and Keychain items.
Because Market Mosaic does not operate a server-side user account system, there is no separate remote Market Mosaic account to delete.
Consent And Privacy Choices
Entering a Finnhub API key and using market-data features allows Market Mosaic to send the market-data requests described above. You can withdraw that consent by removing the saved API key in Settings. You can also stop using live market-data features by not entering an API key, and you can remove local app data using the in-app delete/reset controls or by deleting the app from your device.
Market Mosaic does not store user data on a JMS server, so there is no remote portfolio database for JMS to delete. If you send information to JMS through a support request, you may ask JMS to delete that support communication by emailing jmsappdevoplement@gmail.com.
Children's Privacy
Market Mosaic is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
