Data Collection
ChatPaste does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not include analytics, advertising, telemetry, account systems, cloud sync, or tracking technologies.
Clipboard Content
ChatPaste reads clipboard text only when you ask it to convert clipboard content from the menu bar or the app's fixed keyboard shortcut. Conversion happens locally on your Mac. ChatPaste writes the converted plain text, HTML, and RTF representations back to the macOS clipboard when available.
ChatPaste does not automate Outlook, simulate paste, scrape browser content, or send keystrokes to other apps.
Local Settings
ChatPaste stores local preferences, such as formatting settings, using standard macOS app settings storage. These settings remain on your device unless you choose to remove the app or its local data.
Third-Party Services
ChatPaste does not use third-party services, external APIs, advertising networks, analytics providers, or remote logging services.
Children's Privacy
ChatPaste is a productivity utility and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to This Policy
JMS may update this policy if ChatPaste's privacy practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
